3 Day guided bus tour of the Isle of Skye, Loch Ness and the Highlands
BUS TOUR DAY 1, Stirling Castle and Glencoe
Departing from Edinburgh our Isle of Skye tour heads north to Stirling Castle for our first stop of the day.
We carry onwards and up to the majestic landscape of Glencoe where we will absorb some of the most spectacular mountain scenery Scotland has to offer and the site of the 1692 Massacre of the MacDonald Clan.
After lunch in the Lochaber area, we pass Britain’s Highest Mountain – Ben Nevis & continue onwards through The Great Glen Fault, the stunning scenery at Glen Garry & Cluanie, and the breathtaking viewpoint at Ratagan to admire Loch Duich and the Five Sisters of Kintail.
Day 1 is wrapped up by arriving at your accommodation in either of the delightful towns of Portree or Uig with enough time for you to explore the town that evening.
BUS TOUR DAY 2, Isle of Skye experience
This is the day that your driver/guide gets to showcase his island and show you exactly why Skye was recently voted 4th best island in the world by National Geographic magazine.
Be prepared to be enthralled by The Old Man of Storr, Kilt Rock, The Quiraing, The Fairy Pools, Dunvegan Castle and Neist Point Lighthouse. Your driver will pick the best for that day based on weather/visibility.
Visitors to the Isle of Skye are spoilt for choice with so many natural wonders to be explored guaranteeing a memorable day regardless of the weather.
By the end of day 2, you will have experienced and appreciated the astounding beauty of the Isle of Skye with time in the evening for you to relax and unwind back in the town.
BUS TOUR DAY 3, Loch Ness and Grampian
Travelling south we pass through The Cuillin Hills and onto Eilean Donan Castle one of the most recognised castles in Scotland.
Next up… “Nessie” spotting… We arrive at Loch Ness and take time out to enjoy some lunch and the amazing scenery that surrounds us.
Back on the road and heading south we travel through the Grampian Mountains and along Loch Laggan.
We then take a break for refreshments in one of the picturesque villages in Perthshire before heading over the Forth Road Bridge towards Edinburgh taking in the spectacular views of the iconic Forth Rail Bridge.
We carry on into the city to bid farewell to our Edinburgh passengers and similarly onto Glasgow where our Isle of Skye tour comes to an end.
Where does the tour stay overnight on the Isle of Skye?
You can spend your two night stay in either of the picturesque harbour towns of Portree or Uig.
The price of our 3 day Isle of Skye tour does not include accommodation. You can choose to either reserve your own accommodation or we can reserve it for you from our specially selected recommended providers.
